Fourth Street Motor Company., Inc. was founded in 1932 by Mr. George Stuart and his son Meade Stuart. In the early 30's the citizens of Farmville did not have many options as where to repair their vehicle. George and Meade originally had opened a mechanic and an auto body repair facility at 110 Fourth Street in Farmville. As the demand of business grew, the company had to expand resulting in a move to 210 Fourth Street, where the business is located at today. Since the 30's, the Stuarts have always strived to do excellent work with warrantied repairs. Still, to this day, the company is owned and operated by the Stuart Family. |

Currently the company is on it's third generation owner, Jerry Stuart. Jerry has successfully operated the business for 30 years with the same niche as his father and grandfather maintained to produce a quality product. Over the years, Fourth Street has taken on more business and had to expand the body shop in 1997. Fourth Street specializes in full automotive and auto body repair from state inspections, tune-ups, windshield replacement, custom paint jobs, and much, much more. Thanks to dedicated employees and loyal customers, the company will be celebrating their 80th anniversary in 2012. Thank you for helping us get there! |
